- Dr. Dobb's | Multicore Processors | January 13, 2009 - Good rundown on multicore programming challenges and opportunities by Richard Kaufmann and Bruce Gayliard at HP.
- Cory Doctorow: One Laptop Per Child - what went wrong? | Technology | guardian.co.uk - "the OLPC may falter and vanish. But the vision of a world where we can all talk to one another, where we can all modify our tools to suit our needs, where we are not charged a toll for our access to democracy, communities and ideas – that will live on forever."
- Canon Full-Frame Sensor White Paper - A bit old and a bit marketing-y but a lot of interesting historical background.
- Cloud Ping-Pong: Passing VM Workloads from Cloud to Cloud | The Virtual Data Center - Some more fodder for bandwidth (in this case) and latency mattering in the cloud.
- Schneier on Security: Fax Signatures - Interesting discussion of signatures on faxes.
- The Cloud Computing Ecosystem: The Top 100 Cloud Players | ORACLE DEVELOPER'S JOURNAL - Any such list is inevitably a bit all over the map given how many things touch the cloud computing concept in some way. Nonetheless a nice broad compendium even if you want to argue about some of the entries.
- Windows Server Division WebLog : Guest Post: Marathon and Microsoft fault tolerant computing - I'm a little surprised that Citrix or Microsoft didn't simply purchase Marathon but they seem to be going the partnership route for now.
